Coral Travel will introduce Turkey products to German travel agencies in Stuttgart, Bonn, Dortmund, and Frankfurt from October 5 to 8, 2026, as part of the "Yassas & Merhaba Roadshow". The program will feature 13 brands including Rixos, Titanic Hotels, NG Hotels, The Land of Legends, and Corendon Airlines. The event demonstrates that tour operators are maintaining agency training and face-to-face sales networks as a strategic channel despite digital distribution.

Coral Travel to Organize a Four-City Roadshow in Germany for Turkey: Agencies at the Center of Resales

Coral Travel is embarking on a new eight-stop sales tour in the fall of 2026 to connect travel agencies in Germany with Greece and Turkey products.

The program, named "Yassas & Merhaba Roadshow," will be divided into two separate weeks. The first week will focus on Greece, while the second week will focus on Turkey products. Turkey-focused events will take place on October 5 in Stuttgart, October 6 in Bonn, October 7 in Dortmund, and October 8 in Frankfurt.

The purpose of the roadshow is not only to introduce new hotels. According to industry sources based on Coral Travel's statement, agency staff will be informed about new products, the upcoming season, and sales strategies; direct contact will be established with hotel and airline companies.

The importance of such events for Turkish tourism relates to how the product is positioned in the travel consultant's mind before reaching the sales point.

Turkey Week in Four German Cities

The Turkey program will kick off on October 5 at the Le Méridien Hotel in Stuttgart.

This will be followed by the Rheinhotel Dreesen in Bonn on October 6, Freischütz Schwerte in the Dortmund area on October 7, and Hilton The Squaire at Frankfurt Airport on October 8.

Current industry sources indicate that the following brands will participate in Turkey week:

The Land of Legends, NG Hotels, Kilit Hospitality Group, Liberty Fabay, Rixos, Corendon Airlines, Club Tuana Fethiye, Royal Group Lusso Sorgun, XO Cape Arnna, Titanic Hotels, Alarcha Hotels & Resort, Granada Hotels, and Arnor Deluxe Hotel & Spa.

This list shows that Turkey sales are not being conveyed through just a single resort brand or region.

Large resort chains, independent hotels, entertainment products, and airlines are all presented to the agency in the same B2B environment.

Why is Investment in Agencies Still Happening?

It is a commonly repeated view that as online booking systems grow, the classic travel agency is losing its importance.

However, the picture is more complex in the package holiday sector.

Especially in products where family holidays, high basket value resort bookings, or comparisons of different flight-accommodation options are involved, the travel consultant can still influence the purchasing decision.

The commercial logic of the roadshow lies here.

It is not possible for an agency employee to visit hundreds of hotels individually. The tour operator brings hotel representatives to the market where the agency is located, quickly providing;

product training,

sales arguments,

new season information,

personal relationships

and Q&A opportunities all in one place.

Thus, the visibility of the hotel in the B2B distribution channel is not solely dependent on its catalog page or the price on the booking screen.

Coral Travel Increased Agency Contact Throughout 2026

The fall event is not Coral Travel's first roadshow effort in 2026.

Coral Travel Germany conducted an eight-stop "Floating Roadshow" along the Rhine River in February. The company's own statement defined the purpose of the event as bringing travel agencies together with selected hotel partners, deepening existing relationships, and creating new business connections.

The company also organized Turkey-focused agency roadshows in various markets before the summer season of 2026. For example, at the Samara event in Russia, Turkish hotels were presented to agency managers and sales staff; the program used a "speed meeting" format after the presentations.

This continuity suggests that the roadshow is part of the distribution policy rather than a one-time PR event.

Timing is Also Important for Turkey

The timing of Turkey week at the beginning of October is noteworthy.

Coral Travel Germany announced in July 2026 that a significant portion of the 2027 summer program was opened for sale. Turkey is also among the Mediterranean destinations available for early booking. In some products, the sales period extends until November 2027.

Therefore, the October roadshow is not just an evaluation of the closing 2026 season.

It also serves the function of reintroducing the agency to Turkey products at the time when 2027 sales begin.

This is significant for early booking sales.

At the same time, the agency has Turkey, Greece, Spain, Egypt, and other Mediterranean products in front of it. For Turkey to stand out in sales, up-to-date information is needed not only on the price list but also on new hotels, family advantages, flight options, and product differentiations.

Why is a Few Minutes of Discussion Valuable for Hotels?

When a hotel participates in a roadshow, it is not selling directly to the end consumer.

Instead, it is educating the person who will sell the product.

Therefore, measuring the return solely by reservations made on the event night is insufficient.

For example, when a German customer comes to the agency and asks, "Which hotel do you recommend for a family with children in Antalya?" the properties that come to the consultant's mind can translate into commercial value.

The information that the hotel representative can provide at the roadshow may include;

new aquapark,

renovated room,

kids club,

family room,

beach features,

new restaurant,

transfer time

or concept change.

This information can turn into a stronger sales argument than the star rating on the OTA screen.

Especially when dozens of resorts are available in a similar price range, it becomes differentiating for the agency employee to truly know the product.

Airline Partner is Also in the Equation

The presence of Corendon Airlines during Turkey week should not be seen merely as a sponsorship detail.

The package tour product is not just about the hotel.

The airport where the seat is located, flight day, baggage allowance, transfer, and total package price directly affect the product's purchaseability.

Therefore, having the hotel and airline at the same table during the tour operator's roadshow can provide a more comprehensive product offering to the travel agency.

Even if the customer likes the hotel, if there are no suitable flights from their city, the sale may not occur.

The tour operator's competitive advantage often comes from being able to combine various components into a single reservation.

Digitalization Has Not Eliminated Face-to-Face Sales

Supporting travel agencies is a clear theme in Coral Travel's communication in Germany in 2026.

The company announced in January that it covered the participation costs of 15 partner agencies at the CMT fair in Stuttgart. Ender Karadağ, Head of Sales and Distribution at Coral Travel Germany, stated that actively supporting travel agencies in a dynamic market environment is important for the company.

This approach shows why the tour operator-agency relationship continues despite digitalization.

Distribution is no longer single-channel.

There is direct web sales.

There is OTA.

There is mobile sales.

There is call center.

There is physical agency.

Growth in one does not automatically mean the disappearance of another.

Especially for package tour companies, a strong agency network is still part of sales diversification.

What Should Hotels Expect from These Events in Turkey?

The primary goal for Turkish hotels participating in the roadshow should not be merely brand awareness.

More measurable goals can be set:

How many agencies were met?

Which product features received the most questions?

In which areas were comparisons made with competing destinations?

How were the 2027 early booking offers received by the agency?

In which German regions is the demand for Turkey stronger?

For which customer profiles is there a perceived product gap?

When this data returns to the hotel's sales strategy, the roadshow can turn into a real commercial research tool.

Otherwise, the event may remain limited to a few presentations, business cards, and a dinner.

In our opinion, the important message from Coral Travel's fall roadshow is broader than just the information that "Turkey will be promoted in four cities."

As technology grows in tourism distribution, the education of the person selling the product still holds value.

Especially in destinations like Turkey, where there are many similar resort products, the agency consultant's knowledge of the differences between hotels can influence the sales decision.

Therefore, the roadshow budget should not be seen merely as a marketing expense.

If designed correctly, it can bring together agency training, market intelligence, distributor relationships, and early booking sales in the same event.

However, for success, hotels need to go beyond the "our facility is very nice" presentation.

Providing concrete sales reasons that the agency can convey to the customer is more valuable:

Which guest is this hotel right for, how does it differ operationally from its competitor, and what justifies the price the customer pays?

The real commercial value of the roadshow will emerge from how well these questions are answered.
